Becky McGlade
Becky grew up in Cornwall where she currently lives. Having studied music at Royal Holloway, University of London, she now composes, alongside playing and teaching the cello and piano. She also enjoys singing and is a member of St.Mary’s Singers, Truro Cathedral’s voluntary choir.
The majority of Becky’s compositions are choral pieces, many of which draw inspiration from her Christian faith. Her works include psalm settings, carols, and settings of other texts, both biblical and secular, as well as solo songs. Recent commissions include a carol for York Minster’s Nine Lessons and Carols Service 2019, and a piece soon to be premiered at the Eden Project, Cornwall.
Becky’s music has been performed throughout the UK and played on national radio stations and many of her pieces are published by Boosey & Hawkes and Oxford University Press.
